Dr. Andreas Zeller, University of Saarland Andreas Zeller is a full professor for Software Engineering at Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany. His research concerns the analysis of large software systems and their development process; his students are funded by companies like Google, Microsoft, or SAP. In 2010, Zeller was inducted as Fellow of the ACM for his contributions to automated debugging and mining software archives. Dr. Vahid Garousi, University of Calgary Vahid Garousi (PhD, PEng) is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering and an Alberta Ingenuity New Faculty (2007-2010) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Calgary. He is currently leading the Software Quality Engineering Research Group (SoftQual) and is affiliated with the Software Engineering Research Group (SERG) at the University of Calgary. Vahid received a PhD in Software Engineering from Carleton University in 2006 where he worked with Dr. Lionel Briand. His PhD work was on performance testing of distributed real-time systems based on UML models. His MSc degree was in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2003. Vahid earned his Software Engineering undergraduate degree from Sharif University of Technology (the first rank engineering school in Iran) in 2000. From 2000 to 2001, he was a system analyst in an Iranian outsourced software engineering company (Information Management Systems).
